THE UNSTEADY STAGE

A Free Neuropsychoeducation Seminar for Creatives

Creative work often asks us to live in a world of auditions, reviews, rejection, comparison, performance pressure, and public visibility. Over time, these experiences can impact the nervous system, shape our sense of self, and contribute to anxiety, burnout, perfectionism, addiction, and emotional exhaustion.

Join therapist and award winning creative professional Clay P. David, MFA, MA, AMFT, for an engaging evening exploring the psychology of creativity, performance, resilience, and recovery. Through accessible neuroscience, psychology, and lived artistic experience, participants will gain practical tools for understanding nervous system regulation, navigating rejection and shame, building creative resilience, and cultivating a stronger sense of self beyond applause, achievement, and external validation.

Clay uniquely bridges the worlds of psychology and the performing arts. In addition to his work as a psychotherapist, educator, and recovery specialist, he is the recipient of the Victor Borge Legacy Award, five San Francisco Bay Area Theatre Critics Circle Awards, the San Francisco TITAN Award, and the Los Angeles BRAVO Award for artistic excellence.
