Whether you are stuck in the same fight, drifting apart, rebuilding trust, or simply want a stronger relationship, couples counseling gives you both a place to be heard and practical tools that work at home.
Our approach
Our couples work is grounded in the Gottman Method, one of the most researched approaches to couples therapy, along with IFS-informed and emotion-focused work. We help couples:
• Break painful conflict cycles and argue more fairly
• Communicate so each person actually feels heard
• Rebuild trust after betrayal or broken agreements
• Reconnect emotionally and physically
• Navigate big transitions: new baby, blended families, career changes, empty nest
• Face addiction and recovery together, as a couple
Who we work with
Married, dating, engaged, separating, LGBTQ+, and every kind of couple and relationship structure.
Your therapists
Lisa Elliott, AMFT, is trained in the Gottman Method and brings a warm, steady presence to the room. Clay David, AMFT has experience with couples especially surrounding addiction. Dr. Marty Lajoie loves working with couples as well.
Want individual support too?
Many couples find it helpful for each partner to also have their own therapist. We can match each of you with a different clinician on our team, so everyone has their own space and the couples work stays balanced.
Cost
Private pay, sliding scale, and insurance options are available. Coverage for couples therapy varies by plan, so we will check your benefits with you.
