Internal Family Systems (IFS) Through Creative Expression

Exploring your internal world through IFS Through Creative Expression

Exploring your internal world through a combination of Internal Family Systems (IFS) informed Creative Expression. This workshop will provide an introduction to IFS, provide an opportunity to do some basic parts mapping of your internal system and offer a space to connect with and/or explore these parts through creative expression.

During this workshop, you will have a partially guided opportunity to be curious, look within and find compassion for the parts of you that have worked so hard to keep you safe. We will use creative art to process and create space to cultivate a new awareness of your own internal system through the use of color, texture, words and collage. There is no experience necessary. You will learn some simple practices that you can do at home with minimal time and supplies.

This workshop is for those new to the idea of IFS who are looking to understand the concept, identify some of their parts and utilize a creative process to deepen the connection. The session will offer meditation that provides practice in going inward to connect with parts, time to create and time to share and process at your own comfort level.

Dr. Martin Lajoie, Psychologist, PsyD

I work with adults of all ages & phases of life. I specialize in supporting them to work with & through life challenges, relationships, transitions, addictions, depression, anxiety, & trauma. Often the most painful “symptoms” are actually aspects of us, protective strengths that are outdated or out of balance with our life and our truth. It may be something deep within us trying to loudly get our attention that something is off & needs to change. Whatever drives you to show up for yourself & your life in this way…welcome! Whether we incorporate IFS, EMDR, or other strategies, there’s hope & help!

With a blend of compassion, humor & transformative integrative practices, I help folks intuitively tune into, & work with, these living pieces of themselves, as ways to grow into balance, vitality, purpose and wholeness. I support them to heal at the roots, find their own power, speak and live in their truth, and thrive in a connected & meaningful life.
